Report on Seminar on Child Marriage

A motivational and informative seminar on “Child Marriage” was successfully organized at Global College of Pharmacy, Kahnpur Khui. The seminar was conducted by Mr. Rajat Acharya and PLV Mr. Sukhdev Singh, who visited from the Judicial Court and Complex, District Rupnagar (Anandpur Sahib).

The resource persons delivered an enlightening lecture on the social, legal, and psychological impacts of child marriage. They explained the laws related to child marriage, its consequences, and the role of students in spreading awareness in society. The seminar was highly motivating and encouraged students to stand against this social evil and support child rights. On this occasion, Dr. Sanjiv Duggal, Principal of Global College of Pharmacy, delivered a motivating speech. He emphasized the importance of education, legal awareness, and social responsibility in eradicating child marriage.

His words inspired students to become responsible citizens. Mr. J. S. Gill, Chairman of Global College, also shared his valuable views and highlighted the role of educational institutions in social reform. The management members Mr. Vinnet Malhotra and Mr. B. S. Rana also addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of the organizers and speakers. All staff members of the college were present and actively attended the seminar. The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from all students of B. Pharmacy, who not only gained knowledge but also enjoyed the interactive and motivating session.

The entire event was smoothly coordinated by Prof. Kajal Choudhary, Cultural Activity Coordinator, whose efforts contributed greatly to the success of the seminar.

Overall, the seminar was very informative, motivating, and successful in spreading awareness about child marriage and its prevention.
