Report on Pharmacovigilance Awareness Presentation At Senior Secondary Smart School Sukhsal

Theme: “Ensuring the Safety of Medicines”

Global College of Pharmacy organized an educational awareness presentation on Pharmacovigilance under the theme “Ensuring the Safety of Medicines” at Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Sukhsal for students of the Science stream. The presentation was delivered by Ms. Samiksha, Assistant Professor, Global College of Pharmacy, who introduced the students to the importance of pharmacovigilance, adverse drug reactions, medication safety, and the role of healthcare professionals in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines.

The Principal of Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Sukhsal, Mr. Gurdeep Kumar, appreciated the initiative of Global College of Pharmacy and expressed his gratitude for conducting such an informative and career-oriented session for the students. He also honoured the representatives of Global College for their valuable contribution and efforts towards creating awareness among students.

The Chairman of Global College, Mr. J. S. Gill, appreciated the efforts of the faculty member

and the team involved in organizing the programme. Dr. Sanjiv Duggal, Principal, Global College, along with the management members Mr. Vineet Malhotra and Mr. B. S. Rana, also appreciated the initiative and motivated the students to explore various career opportunities in the field of pharmacy and healthcare.

The session proved to be informative and inspiring for the students, providing them with valuable knowledge about medicine safety and encouraging them to consider pharmacy and

allied healthcare fields as promising career options.

एक शैक्षणिक एवं जागरूकता प्रस्तुति का आयोजन सरकारी वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक स्मार्ट स्कूल, सुखसाल में विज्ञान

संकाय के विद्यार्थियों के लिए किया गया। इस प्रस्तुति का संचालन सुश्री समीक्षा, सहायक प्रोफेसर, ग्लोबल कॉलेज ऑफ फार्मेसी द्वारा किया गया। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को फार्माकोविजिलेंस के महत्व, प्रतिकूल औषधीय प्रतिक्रियाओं (Adverse Drug Reactions), दवाओं की सुरक्षा तथा दवाओं के सुरक्षित एवं प्रभावी उपयोग को

सुनिश्चित करने में स्वास्थ्य सेवा पेशेवरों की भूमिका के बारे में महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी प्रदान की।

सरकारी वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक स्मार्ट स्कूल, सुखसाल के प्रधानाचार्य श्री गुरदीप कुमार ने ग्लोबल कॉलेज ऑफ फार्मेसी की इस पहल की सराहना की और विद्यार्थियों के लिए इस तरह के ज्ञानवर्धक एवं करियर-उन्मुख सत्र आयोजित करने के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए ग्लोबल कॉलेज के प्रतिनिधियों द्वारा किए गए प्रयासों की प्रशंसा करते हुए उनका सम्मान भी किया।

मल्होत्रा एवं श्री बी. एस. राणा ने भी इस पहल की सराहना की और विद्यार्थियों को फार्मेसी एवं स्वास्थ्य सेवा के क्षेत्र में उपलब्ध विभिन्न करियर अवसरों के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त करने तथा अपने भविष्य के लिए बेहतर करियर विकल्प चुनने हेतु प्रेरित किया। यह सत्र विद्यार्थियों के लिए अत्यंत ज्ञानवर्धक, प्रेरणादायक एवं उपयोगी रहा। विद्यार्थियों को दवाओं की सुरक्षा एवं फार्माकोविजिलेंस के महत्व के बारे में महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी प्राप्त हुई तथा उन्हें फार्मेसी एवं संबद्ध स्वास्थ्य सेवा क्षेत्रों में उज्ज्वल करियर की संभावनाओं के बारे में भी प्रेरणा मिली।
