Report on Celebration of World Immunization Day

On 23rd April 2026, our college enthusiastically celebrated World Immunization Day as a part of World Immunization Week (24–30 April 2026), with the global theme “For every generation, vaccines work.” The event aimed to spread awareness about the importance of immunization in protecting individuals and communities from vaccine-preventable diseases. The program commenced with heartfelt gratitude to our respected Principal, Dr. Sanjiv Duggal, and our honorable Chairperson, Mr. J.S. Gill, for their continuous support and encouragement in organizing such meaningful awareness activities.
A special thanks was extended to the esteemed speaker, Prof. Anupma, who delivered an insightful and informative seminar. The session highlighted the life-saving role of vaccines, their safety and effectiveness, and their contribution to improving global health, including reducing infant mortality and preventing serious diseases such as measles, diphtheria, pertussis, and polio. The speaker also emphasized the importance of informed decision- making and addressing vaccine hesitancy through clear communication. Students actively participated in the event and gained valuable knowledge about the scientific and social importance of immunization. The session helped in strengthening awareness regarding how vaccines have protected generations and continue to safeguard future
populations.
The organizing team expressed sincere appreciation to the Management, especially Mr. B.S.
Rana and Mr. Vineet Malhotra, along with the NSS Committee, for their dedicated efforts in successfully conducting the program. Special thanks were also extended to Prof. Kajal, Prof. Samiksha, Prof. Anjali, and Prof. Lovepreet for their valuable coordination and
support.
The celebration concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the message that immunization is a
shared responsibility and a powerful tool in ensuring a healthier future for all generations.
