REPORT ON ANTI-RAGGING AWARENESS AND PLEDGECEREMONY 2026

Theme: “Say No to Ragging – Promote Respect, Safety and Dignity”

The Global College of Pharmacy organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness and Pledge Ceremony on 18th August 2026 with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of ragging and promoting a safe, respectful, and supportive academic environment. The programme emphasized the importance of discipline, mutual respect, dignity, and responsible behaviour among students.

As part of the programme, Anti-Ragging Undertaking Forms were duly filled and submitted by the students. The students were also administered the Anti-Ragging Pledge, wherein they solemnly pledged not to indulge in or support any form of ragging and to maintain a healthy and respectful atmosphere within the institution. The activity helped students understand their responsibilities towards maintaining a ragging-free campus.

Principal Dr. Sanjiv Duggal addressed the gathering and delivered an informative and motivating speech on the importance of maintaining discipline and ensuring the safety and dignity of every student. He emphasized that ragging is unacceptable and encouraged students to build positive relationships based on mutual respect, cooperation, and friendship.

Chairman Mr. J. S. Gill, along with Management Representatives Mr. B. S. Rana and Mr. Vinit Malhotra, graced the occasion with their presence and extended their support towards the initiative. Faculty members of the college were also present during the programme and actively supported the students in understanding the importance of maintaining a safe and ragging-free campus.

The programme successfully created awareness among students regarding the consequences of ragging and encouraged them to actively contribute towards maintaining peace, discipline, and harmony on the campus. The event concluded with a sense of responsibility and commitment among the students towards upholding the principles of respect, dignity, and safety.

The Anti-Ragging Awareness and Pledge Ceremony was successfully conducted and served

as an important initiative towards strengthening the institutions commitment to providing a safe, disciplined, and ragging-free educational environment.
