REPORT OF SEMINAR ON “MENSTRUAL HYGIENE AND HEALTH AWARENESS”

The Department of Global college of pharmacy, Kahanpur khuhi, Ananadpur sahib organized

a seminar under its community project initiative on “Menstrual Hygiene and Health

Awareness” on 13/08/2025 in the Project Room (Room No. 201). The program aimed to

spread awareness about menstrual health management, correct hygiene practices, and the safe

use of menstrual products among female students.

The resource person for the seminar was Mr. Tira Ram, member of DNR Health Care (P) Ltd., who delivered an informative and engaging session on the importance of menstrual hygiene, types of menstrual products available, proper disposal methods, and breaking social

taboos surrounding menstruation.

The session was attended by female students of 1 st semester, 3rd Semester, 5th Semester, and 7th Semester, along with faculty members. The speaker also interacted with participants, answering their queries and sharing practical tips for health and hygiene.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Anjali Bhagria, followed by the introduction of the guest speaker. After the seminar, an interactive Q&A session was held,

which received active participation from students.

Vote of thanks: The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Anjali Bhagria, Prof. Lovepreet Kaur and Prof. Akanksha Sharma expressing gratitude to the resource person for sharing his valuable knowledge and to the Principal sir for granting permission to organize the seminar. Feedback from students indicated that the session was highly beneficial in enhancing their understanding of menstrual health and encouraging healthy practices.
